Returning to the same studio space for Every Open Eye the band had the comforts of home, time to work on the new album at their own pace and invest in a whole new arsenal of electronic equipment for album number two. Expanding into two rooms with engineer David Simpson who worked on the technical aspects of the album the band left off right where they started, making beautiful music. While the Cook and Doherty would work on beats, parts of the songs and production in one room, Mayberry had the essential space in the other room to work on vocals all of which helped bring this album together so quickly.
A really interesting read about capturing imperfect beats, creating more with less and the new equipment they use. Click here to read the full cover story about CHVRCHES’ latest setup for the production of Every Open Eye.
