Over the past few weeks CHVRCHES have been teasing some sort of collaboration with Matt Berninger of The National who was also spotted in the recent music video for “Get Out”, the lead single off their third album Love Is Dead. Minutes ago, “My Enemy” featuring Berninger was premiered on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show. Berninger and Lauren Mayberry combine for a great one-two punch trading verses and chorus on this ambient track. Per Mayberry, this self-produced (CHVRCHES) track was initially set up for Martin Doherty to sing the verses. Upon his discomfort in singing a duet with Mayberry the band enlisted the help of friend Berninger. It remains to be seen if this song will be added to CHVRCHES’ setlist or exclusively played at festivals where both bands are scheduled to perform. It would seem to be a good fit for Doherty to cover Berninger’s vocals should they play this live at CHVRCHES shows but only time will tell.

Mayberry previously joined The National on stage at Latitude Festival in 2016 for their song “I Need My Girl”.

CHVRCHES are headed to London for Citadel Festival! This one-day summer festival takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Gunnersbury Park. Take a look at the line-up in the poster above that was revealed earlier today.

With anticipation building and an unfortunate leak online recently, CHVRCHES have revealed the tracklist for their upcoming third album titled Love Is Dead. It appears that fans that previously called a hidden number in the bands recent video for “Get Out” have also been receiving text messages with the title and track number of one song. Yesterday Fuji Rock Festival revealed their annual lineup including CHVRCHES! This three-day music festival will take place on July 27-29, 2018 at the Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa, Niigata, Japan. The fan community in Japan usually host a CHVRCHES night in celebration of the bands arrival with an evening of CHVRCHES’ music, dancing and good times so keep your ears and eyes open for another meetup this year.

Over the past few days Aerodrome Festival has been revealing artists on their 2018 lineup including CHVRCHES who will be playing on Friday, June 29th. The three-day festival in the sky will take place on June 28-30, 2018 at Panenský Týnec Airfield in the Czech Republic.
