The TYCI podcast is back! The first TYCI podcast of 2016 was uploaded earlier today and it’s full of new features we already love. CHVRCHES are headed back to Portugal for Festival Paredes de Coura this August. This annual four-day music festival in Paredes de Coura, Portugal is scheduled for August 17th-20th. Make your summer plans now to see a great lineup of musicians.

SPIN returns to SXSW for its 14th annual SPIN at Stubb’s showcase on Friday, March 18th from 11 AM to 5 PM at Stubb's BBQ in Austin, Texas. Headlining this popular event will be CHVRCHES and Deftones. A can’t miss event you should add to your SXSW itinerary.

If you’re headed to SXSW next month you will have plenty of exciting things to choose from including the Spotify House. The Spotify House will have musical guests and more daily from March 14th to March 18th. CHVRCHES will be the headlining performer on Thursday, March 17th.

SXSW will host its first ever music opening party in celebration of SXSW Music’s 30th birthday. This exclusive event will be held at Maggie Mae’s in Austin, Texas on Tuesday, March 15th starting at 6 PM CST. To celebrate the occasion there will be musical performances by Har Mar Superstar, John GRVY, Capsula, Kristin Kontrol and last but certainly not least a DJ set from CHVRCHES!
CHVRCHES return to SXSW after winning the inaugural Grulke Prize for Developing Non-US Act after their breakthrough festival performances at SXSW in 2013. The SXSW Music Opening Party is open to those with Music and Platinum badges.
Earlier this week the CHVRCHES fan group in Japan hosted their second annual CHVRCHES night in celebration of the bands arrival in Tokyo for a show the following night at the Akasaka Blitz. To their astonishment, they had some very special guests drop in for a surprise visit. Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty of CHVRCHES joined fans for a night of dancing and fun that neither the band or fans will soon forget. It’s moments like this that our hearts smile with gratitude for what this band does for its fans.
Last fall CHVRCHES kicked off their global tour at Central Park Summer Stage in New York City in support of their sophomore album Every Open Eye. Baeble Music was on hand to capture all the moments including an interview with the band, interviews with fans, footage from the meet and greet, sound check and the amazing concert itself. The full concert will be available to viewers sometime in March.
This mini-documentary does an excellent job of capturing the bond between CHVRCHES and their fans. As we can attest first hand they spend an enormous amount of time with fans to the delight of many. The debut of CHVRCHES’ highly anticipated music video for “Clearest Blue” on MTV tonight was well worth the wait after a couple of days of teasers on social media. A great five minute video directed by Warren Fu set in medieval and current times. The storyline builds alongside the music from a dark beginning to a clearing in the future otherwise known as “Clearest Blue”!

CHVRCHES’ hit single “Leave A Trace” has been nominated as the Best Alternative/Indie Rock Dance Track for the 2016 International Dance Music Awards. Winners will be announced on Monday, March 21st at the Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida.
Voting ends March 2, 2016 so click here to vote now! Eric Prydz remix of CHVRCHES’ track “Tether” from their debut album The Bones of What You Believe has also been nominated for the same category.
Capitol Hill Block Party has released their 20th anniversary lineup which includes CHVRCHES! This annual three-day music festival is scheduled for July 22nd-July 24th at Capitol Hill in Seattle, Washington.
