Before Lauren Mayberry joined band mates Iain Cook and Martin Doherty on stage at Glastonbury Festival this past weekend the lead singer of CHVRCHES volunteered some of her time to hand out water for the Toilets Save Lives campaign by WaterAid UK.

Yesterday Glastonbury Festival announced a 2016 live compilation album to support Oxfam’s refugee campaign in memory of British MP and former Oxfam activist Jo Cox who was murdered last week. The album, titled Oxfam Presents: Stand As One – Live at Glastonbury 2016 will include one live song recorded from this week’s Glastonbury sets from artists including CHVRCHES, Coldplay, Muse, Foals, Sigur Rós, The Last Shadow Puppets, Wolf Alice, Laura Mvula, Jamie Lawson, John Grant, Jack Garratt, Two Door Cinema Club, The 1975, Editors, Years & Years and Fatboy Slim with more to come. Last night during CHVRCHES and Death Cab for Cutie’s co-headlining show at the Volvo Car Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina CHVRCHES’ Lauren Mayberry joined the latter on stage and took the lead for their song “Brothers on a Hotel Bed”. Mayberry’s vocals fit the song beautifully as if she had been singing with them for years. Watch this amazing performance below.

CHVRCHES have announced the release of a new extended edition of their sophomore album Every Open Eye due out July 29, 2016 via Virgin EMI/Goodbye Records. Along with the original 11 tracks, this extended edition will include three bonus tracks from the previously released deluxe edition of the album, three remixes from their Record Store Day 2016 release and two new songs, “Warning Call”, the theme from the new game Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and the new version of “Bury It” featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore.
