Last week The Daily Princetonian announced that CHVRCHES would be headlining their spring 2016 Lawnparties on May 1st. An opening act performer will be announced soon.
Student participation will be highlighted at this event with a battle of the bands competition as well as a poster competition for students. USG Social Committee Chair Rachel Park said, “CHVRCHES is really into student art, and they wanted to see if there are any students that would want to make a poster using their logos for Lawnparties’ advertising poster. The group will look at the final selections made by the Social Committee and will pick a winning selection to be signed and endorsed by the band.”
Lead singer Lauren Mayberry will return to campus at a later date to give a talk with students. CHVRCHES have long been supportive of students through mentoring sessions and performances and sure this will be just as special as any other they have done.
