The event begins at noon with other featured artists including Jack Garratt, The Heavy, Bombino, Lucius and Hinds. The ten performers for the 2016 MTV Woodies have been announced. CHVRCHES along with Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, A$AP Ferg, BØRNS, The Chainsmokers, Jack Garratt, Jidenna, Kehlani, Lukas Graham and Travi$ Scott will perform a live broadcast from the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The MTV Woodies will air live March 16th at 9 PM ET on MTV.

Latitude Festival announced their incredible lineup yesterday which includes CHVRCHES on Saturday, July 16th. Just three short years ago at this very festival CHVRCHES played a very small stage for a capacity crowd and now they return as one of the top acts. This annual music festival in Suffolk, England is scheduled for July 14th-17th.

TYCI has two great events lined up this weekend in collaboration with Declaration Festival at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) in Glasgow. The TYCI Takeover events are scheduled for this Friday, March 4th and Sunday, March 6th.

On Friday TYCI have invited artists Jenny Knotts (directed by Caitlin Skinner), Rose Ruane, Sara Shaarawi (directed by Caitlin Skinner) and Gudrun Soley Sigurdardottir to respond to Article 3 of the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights which includes, “the right to life, liberty and security of person.” This event will also include live music from Chrissy Barnacle and the TYCI DJ’s on the decks.

On Sunday TYCI will be partnering with Wise Women to bring attendees a two-hour personal safety workshop. Learn techniques and tactics to identify, avoid and escape dangerous situations.
